1. Summer Vacation in Uttar Pradesh
Last year, schools in Uttar Pradesh were closed between May 20 and June 15. This year also the final decision will be taken in view of the heat and temperature. According to the UP Basic Education Department, summer holidays usually start from 15-20 May. The same time frame is likely to be followed in Noida and other districts as well. However, some private schools of CBSE / ICSE board can also take a decision on their own. Holidays can be extended in case of heatwave.

2. Summer Vacation in Bihar

In the year 2024, the Bihar Education Department had kept summer holidays from 15 April to 15 May. This year summer vacation in Bihar schools is likely to be from 2 to 21 June. However, it is still awaited for final approval. Summer vacation can start in May if the heat increases. The dates of summer vacation in CBSE and ICSE schools may be different. But schools affiliated to Bihar Board will have to follow the government calendar.

3. Summer Vacation in Delhi

A Heatwave alert has been issued in the country's capital Delhi. The temperature had slightly decreased due to the storm in between, but not much difference was seen. Summer vacation may start in government schools of Delhi from May 11, 2025 (estimated). Schools remain closed here for about 50 days in summer. Even if summer holidays start in May, schools are likely to open only from July 01, 2025. Holidays in private schools located in Delhi also start in the second week of May.

4. When will schools close in Madhya Pradesh?

The summer vacation schedule in the Madhya Pradesh holiday calendar is from May 1 to June 15, 2025. Here children will get 46 days of summer vacation. However, changes in these dates are possible considering the weather. School teachers of Madhya Pradesh will have to resume duty from June 1 to prepare for the new session. Their summer vacation will be less compared to students. Holidays may be extended in some districts of MP based on the heatwave situation, as happened in 2024.

5. When will the summer vacation start in Rajasthan?
Rajasthan is famous for its hot weather. The Rajasthan School Education Department had declared summer holidays from 17 May to 23 June in 2024. Then it was extended in various districts based on the weather. Summer vacation is likely to start in mid-May in 2025 as well. Actually, the temperature in Rajasthan remains high in May and June. Summer vacation in Rajasthan will be decided on the basis of heatwave. Here too, private schools can decide on holidays as per their own convenience.
