The long wait for the next installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana in Madhya Pradesh is finally over. Around 1.27 crore women beneficiaries of the scheme can expect ₹1250 credited directly into their bank accounts on May 15, 2025. This will mark the 24th installment of the monthly benefit.

The amount will be officially disbursed during a grand conference in Sidhi, where Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will interact with the beneficiaries and oversee the fund transfer process. The preparations for the event are already underway, though a formal government notification is still awaited.

Previously, the Ladli Behna payments used to be credited by the 10th of each month. However, from last month onwards, there has been a shift. Payments are now being processed on or after the 15th of every month. The government has cited fund management as the reason behind this delay — specifically, to align with central government fund disbursements and avoid last-minute financial hurdles.

In April, the funds were credited on the 16th, raising concerns among many women. But this change is now seen as a permanent adjustment, not a one-time delay.

Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, eligible women between the ages of 21 and 59 years receive ₹1250 every month directly in their bank accounts. Initially, the scheme provided ₹1000, which was increased to ₹1250. Talks of increasing the amount to ₹1500 have been circulating, but no formal announcement has been made yet.
