Archana Puran Singh’s younger son, Ayushmaan Sethi, has shared a candid account of his life choices, revealing why he gave up a coveted spot at an Ivy League college despite ranking among the top 100 students worldwide in his Class 12 examinations. In a recent family vlog, he also spoke about his early ventures into cooking, a passion sparked in his teenage years, and how it shaped his creative journey.

Academic Success and a Bold Decision
Born to actors Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi, Ayushmaan says he excelled academically throughout school, consistently topping his class in both Class 10 and Class 12. His exceptional scores placed him among the top 100 students in the world, which, according to him, led teachers and peers to assume he would naturally head to a top-tier Ivy League university.

He revealed that he had applied to such institutions and had even secured admission. However, rather than following the academic route, Ayushmaan decided to pursue a career in the creative arts, specifically acting. He admitted that his teachers were disappointed with his decision, but he felt a strong pull towards performing arts and was determined to follow in his parents’ footsteps. Archana recalled that while she encouraged him to recognise his academic potential, she ultimately respected his clarity of choice.

Discovering a Passion for Food
During the same vlog with celebrity chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Ayushmaan shared how his love for food began out of necessity. Living in Madh Island, where food delivery options were scarce until recently, he and his brother Aaryamann often cooked their own meals. Inspired by cooking shows like MasterChef, Ayushmaan began experimenting in the kitchen and soon learned to bake his own bread.

This passion led him to launch a small local bakery during his teenage years. Although the business was not financially successful, Ayushmaan considered it a valuable experience that deepened his appreciation for culinary creativity. His mother mentioned that he frequently recreates dishes at home after tasting them elsewhere, and Kapoor complimented his Mango Butter Paneer, saying it could easily feature on a restaurant menu.

Aryamann Sethi’s Heartfelt Proposal
The Sethi family has been in the public eye recently, not only through their acting work but also via personal vlogs. Ayushmaan’s elder brother, Aryamann, recently surprised his subscribers by proposing to actress Yogita Bihani. The proposal took place as the couple prepared to move into their new home, with Aryamann presenting her with sunflowers and the house keys.

Archana became emotional during the moment, admitting she never imagined seeing her son propose in such a heartfelt way. The gesture, which was planned with input from both parents, drew warm responses from viewers.
