Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A grocery trader was attacked with a knife in Patel Nagar under Bhanwarkuan police station limits on Saturday night after he demanded repayment of dues.
The victim, identified as Mukesh Lodhi said that two brothers, Amit and Sumit Mishra had come to his shop to take items on credit. ‘I told them to clear their previous dues before taking more items.
They left but returned with their father and began arguing. During the altercation, one of them attacked me with a knife, injuring me,’ Lodhi said.

CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the trader closing his shop when two youths arrive, one visibly carrying a knife. Lodhi is then seen picking up a stick in self-defence before being attacked.
Locals rushed in to intervene and separated them. The trader alleged that the accused are still roaming in the area with sticks, threatening to kill him. Dissatisfied with the police registering the case under minor sections, Lodhi has lodged a complaint with senior officials at the police control room, Regal Square.
