Similarly, Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Eugenie, 35, do not receive security as they are not working royals. The sisters once had police protection costing £500,000 annually, but this was withdrawn by the late in 2011 amid a row over expenses.
In 2010, the now-King Charles reportedly voiced concerns about Eugenie's significant security costs while she was travelling during her gap year.
Another of the King's nieces, Zara Tindall, also lacks police protection as she, like Eugenie and Beatrice, is not a working Royal. Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh are among the royals who do not have round-the-clock security.
