Pupils have been placed on lockdown after students were reportedly stabbed at a schoolin Pittsburgh.
At least three students have been injured in the attack at Carrick High School, according to police and emergency services. Two children at have been stabbed in the abdomen and stomach, and the third was stabbed in the hand, according to police, who said there is blood "all in through the hallway," according to audio from the city police scanner.
Officers says they have a suspect is currently in custody. However, authorities are still investigating the incident and the school remains under lockdown as an active crime scene. According to the Pittsburgh Public Safety Department, doors will remain closed until they are totally satisfied of the safety of all inside.

They confirmed a student - an actor at the school - has been detained. A statement: "Two students were transported by Pittsburgh EMS for stab wounds to their abdomens. A male student actor was taken into custody at the scene. The school remains in lockdown while the scene is being processed."
The Safety Department went on: "A third victim sustained a minor laceration. They were treated at the scene and released. The male actor sustained a laceration to his hand. He was treated at the scene by medics before being transported to Police HQ."
Emergency services rushed to reports of a "critical incident" at the high school. Upon arrival, medics issued a red tag, which means at least one patient is likely in critical condition, according to the Pittsburgh Police Scanner. According to the school's website, Carrick High School is part of the Pittsburgh Public School District, which is the second largest in the state.
The stabbing occurred around 8:30am local time. Around a dozen Pittsburgh police cars were lined up on the road outside the school. A volunteer with the South Pittsburgh Coalition for Peace was at the school and told media: “Right now, they’re cleaning up. There’s a blood spill and they don’t want the kids to see that."
"While details are developing, we have been advised that one student's injury may be more serious," the Pittsburgh Public Schools spokesperson said. "We are grateful for the swift action of school staff, School Police, and the City of Pittsburgh's first responders. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available."
