*Warning: This article contains spoilers for The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3.*
The Summer I Turned Pretty's Belly Conklin will soon make the decision fans have been waiting years for.
Based on Jenny Han's beloved trilogy, the Prime Video show follows a brutal love triangle between Belly (Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and Conrad (Christopher Briney).

Season three, which will wrap up the show for good, has thus far seen Belly and Jeremiah calling off their engagement, and the former jetting off to Paris for a fresh start.
However, the latest episode saw Conrad reaching out to Belly with letters and making his feelings clear. The instalment ended with Conrad taking a flight to France, likely to declare his love for her in person.
But what did Conrad's letter to Belly say and how did she respond in the series, and in the books? We dive into the letters below.
Conrad's episode 10 letter explainedAfter learning that Belly will be staying in France for the festive period, Conrad works up the courage to write to her.
In his letter, the Fisher brother imagines what Belly's life is like in France.
He writes: "I imagine you sitting in a little café drinking … What does Belly in Paris drink? Café au lait with lots of sugar, along with some disgustingly sweet pastry. Or maybe Sour Patch Kids. Do they have those in Paris?"
Conrad goes on to wish Belly well, noting that she must be enjoying Europe since she opts to stay there for the holidays.
He closes out the message, stating: "I hope Paris is everything you dreamed it would be."

Later in the episode we hear a voiceover of Conrad declaring his love in another letter.
He says: "Also, because I haven't made it clear, I think about you a lot. You're pretty much all I think about. Just so we're clear."
Conrad also sends Belly a packet of Sour Patch Kids and her stuffed polar bear Junior Mint.
Dear Conrad,
I never thanked you for sending me Junior Mint. So, thank you!
And thank you for all your letters, it's sweet of you to think of me.
I finally found a permanent apartment, this is my new address.
Hope you're well.
Belly.

Although Belly's response encourages Conrad to fly to Europe, some viewers have issued complaints that it isn't as welcoming as her reply in the books.
Belly's response in the books reads:Dear Conrad,
When I come home next spring, you'd better show me that family portrait. Don't you dare try to get out of it. Oh, and I'll be taking it with me, since it's my gift and all.
And yes. I do remember. Of course I remember. It was my best Christmas, too.
Write back soon,
Belly.
Just like in the show, Belly writes back after receiving a handful of letters. However, her message is notably warmer and plainly encourages Conrad to keep writing.
Viewers have just a week left until they find out how the duo's story ends.
The Summer I Turned Pretty returns for its final episode next Wednesday (September 17) on Prime Video
