Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Benjamin Sesko is ready to feature in Sunday's Premier League opener against Arsenal. However, while Amorim has passed two more players fit, another duo have been ruled out of the mouth-watering curtain-raiser at Old Trafford.
United embark on another Premier League campaign this weekend, still licking the wounds of a disastrous 2024/25 season. The Red Devils will host Arsenal with a vastly upgraded attack after the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko for a combined fee in excess of £200million.
And Amorim has suggested that the latter, who joined most recently from RB Leipzig in a £74m deal, is ready to start against the Gunners.
"We have a lot of time, but he is ready, first of all, physically he is ready," Amorim explained in a glistening new press room at Carrington.
"That is a big component in our league, then he is really smart, every detail he asks, he is always thinking, he spends all afternoon working on his fitness. He is ready to play. We will see if he starts."
The United boss added: "He does the same as the other players. He is one guy who stays here, has lunch and goes to the medical department.

"He is always thinking about football; every game is do or die. You don't have to think about that aspect with one guy.
"I don't need to tell Ben, with that guy, I don't have that concern, I have the opposite, enjoy a bit."
Amorim confirmed that Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee were also available after both players missed the entirety of the pre-season fixture calendar through injury.
However, defensive duo Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui have not recovered in time for the start of the new campaign.

"Nous and Licha are out, they cannot play this game, Josh recover, Andre recover, they are options for this game, we will see," Amorim said.
Arsenal visit Old Trafford almost with a clean bill of health as Mikel Arteta's side prepare for another Premier League title challenge.
Gabriel Jesus is not available as he continues to recover from a knee injury suffered in January.
Leandro Trossard is also a doubt after picking up a groin strain during a 1-0 pre-season defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
