It's highly unusual to see a discount on a premium Samsung smartphone mere weeks after its release, but that's exactly what has happened thanks to UK mobile provider Giffgaff. The network is offering the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE for £699, a huge £150 saving on the handset's £849 RRP.
You can also pick up the foldable Galaxy phone on an interest-free payment plan spread over 12, 24 or 36 months, choosing whether to pay £20, £50, £100 or £200 upfront. If you pay £200 today, over 36 months you'll pay just £13.87 per month for this brand new Samsung smartphone.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is not the same phone as the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The FE is a cheaper model with the same design as 2024's Galaxy Z Flip 6, boasting dual cameras, an outer screen to view notifications, information and even full apps, a 6.7-inch folding internal screen, 128GB storage and a choice of either black or white.
If you're already a Giffgaff customer, you can log in on the site and just buy the phone either outright or on a payment plan. If you're a new customer, you'll also need to buy a mobile plan, with prices starting at £10 per month for 20GB monthly 5G data.
That means with the £200 payment, you could get the new Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE for just £23.87 per month. If you'd rather pay as little as possible upfront (£20), it's £28.87.
By the looks of things, you'll even be able to cancel the Giffgaff plan if you buy one of the monthly rolling plans, as there's no contract, plus the phone is not locked to any specific network. But it's best to check the terms and conditions of any contract before committing to a price plan.

Alternatively, Giffgaff offers 18 month contracts on its mobile plans, which give you more data but require the longer commitment.
If you're tempted by the Z Flip 7 FE, Giffgaff's price plans are amongst the most flexible we've seen when it comes to choosing how much you'd like to pay back and over how long. Another perk is that Giffgaff does not raise its mobile plan prices mid-contract, so you won't be hit with any nasty bill shock.
I'm a Giffgaff customer, and I've been paying £10 per month for my plan for years. It's never gone up in price, and in fact, the plans now offer more data for the money than they used to.
Be sure to check prices with other retailers before taking the plunge, as well as think about whether you need a new phone in the first place. Signing up to a 36 month payment plan isn't necessarily something you want to be tied to - and make sure you can afford the monthly outgoings if you decide this is the phone plan for you.
