The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the detailed schedule for the third, fourth, and fifth phases of the Teacher Competency Test 2025. Addressing a press conference, BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore informed that the third phase examination will be conducted from May 10 to May 15, 2025.
A total of 30,221 candidates have registered online for the third phase. The examination will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, with a total duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. The BSEB has set a target to announce the third phase results by May 31, 2025.
Applications for the third phase were invited for teachers across four groups — classes 1-5, 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12.
Fourth phase scheduled for mid-June
Candidates failing to qualify in the third phase will get an opportunity to reappear in the fourth phase. The online application fee for the fourth phase can be paid on June 2 and 3, 2025. The examination will take place on June 15 and 16, 2025, with the result expected by June 30, 2025.
Fifth phase to offer final chance in July
Those who do not clear the fourth phase can submit fees for the fifth phase on July 2 and 3, 2025. The fifth phase exam will be conducted on July 15 and 16, 2025, and the BSEB plans to release the results by July 31, 2025.
High pass rates recorded in first two phases
BSEB has already completed two phases of the Teacher Competency Test 2025. In the first phase, 1,99,027 candidates appeared, of which 1,87,818 successfully cleared the exam. In the second phase, 80,713 candidates took the test, with 65,716 qualifying.
Minimum qualifying marks set across categoriesThe BSEB has fixed different minimum qualifying marks for various categories:

- Economically Backward Class (EBC): 34%
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST): 32%
