Donald Trump , an American real estate mogul is now the President of America for the second time. The 78-year-old world leader ran for the office of the President for the first time in 2016 and served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017-2021. He was succeeded by Joe Biden from 2021-2025, but he returned back as the 47th President in 2025.
In a recent interview at NBC's Meet the Press, Trump was asked by journalist Kristen Welker if he was "seriously considering a third term , even though it was prohibited by the constitution ." To this Trump replied and shared that many people wanted him to become the President again. "I have never had requests so strong as that. But it's something that to the best of my knowledge you're not allowed to do. But this is not something I am looking to do." said the President.
"I am looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody, ideally a great Republican, to carry it forward. But I think we have four years and four years is plenty of time to do something really spectacular" he added.
