As part of this commitment, Metro Railway prioritizes preparedness through regular training exercises for staff across various departments to effectively handle fire emergencies within tunnels or on viaducts. Demonstrating this proactive approach, a fire fighting training program for field staff, overseen by senior officers, was conducted today, April 21, 2025, at Bengal Chemical Metro station. During this session, Metro personnel received instruction on extinguishing fires through simulated fire and smoke scenarios. The training was attended by staff members from the Traffic Department and RPF personnel. This initiative aims to enhance the skills and alertness of field staff, enabling them to respond effectively to emergencies, minimize rescue time, and swiftly restore normalcy.
