10 ways to rewire your brain (to think more clearly and remain stress free)

Send Push
Tired of your brain playing the worst case scenarios, and not performing to its optimum capacity? Well, the good news is that you can, in fact, rewire your brain to think more clearly and cohesively, and in the process, become a happier version of you.

Challenge negative thoughts
Negative thoughts can take over your mind and make you feel terrible. The first step to change this is to notice when these thoughts come. When you catch yourself thinking something negative, try to stop it right away. You can say “Stop!” in your mind or even out loud. After stopping the thought, replace it with a positive or neutral one. For example, if you think, “I always fail,” change it to, “I am learning and getting better.” This simple trick helps your brain break the habit of negative thinking.

Practice mindfulness
Mindfulness means paying full attention to the present moment without judging it. It helps you become aware of your thoughts and feelings without getting caught up in them. You can practice mindfulness by focusing on your breath, noticing the sounds around you, or feeling the sensations in your body.

Use positive affirmations
Positive affirmations are short, encouraging statements you say to yourself. They help build confidence and change the way you think about yourself. For example, you can say, “I am strong,” “I am capable,” or “I deserve happiness.”

Visualize success
Your brain can’t always tell the difference between real and imagined experiences. This means that imagining positive outcomes can help your brain prepare for success.

Practice gratitude
Gratitude means being thankful for what you have. When you focus on the good things in your life, your brain starts to notice more positive experiences.

Sleep better
During sleep, the brain engages in vital restorative processes, including memory consolidation, waste removal, and energy restoration, all of which contribute to improved cognitive function and overall well-being.

Exercise
While you know exercise is good for our body, do you also know that it is great for our mind? Exercise releases the BDNF factor that repairs the brain. The Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor, is a protein that plays a crucial role in neuronal growth, development, and survival.

Celebrate small milestones
You don't have to conquer the world to feel better. This can be achieved by celebrating the small things in life, such as a great day at work, a spell of rain after scorching days, or even the first time your child learns to walk. Do not set aside any particular occasions to celebrate.

Rework problems
While problems can totally upend your life, they can also be an immense tool to grow, learn and become a better version of yourself. When you work hard to find a solution to the problem, your brain will get sharper by thinking of a solution, and in the process, refine itself for the better.

Cultivate a new skill set/hobby

Do not stick to what you have practiced, and learned all through your childhood. Pick up something new, even if it is not of your core interest. Doing this will rework the brain to get more creative, and you will become a sharper version of yourself.
