Producer Rahul Tewary: I wanted to move away from the usual love story formula in Udne Ki Aasha

TV show Udne Ki Aasha is topping the ratings chart and producer Rahul Tewary is happy how the show has connected with viewers. He said, "Content is king, and that’s the only thing that truly works. Characters come later. If the content is strong and you have the right actors to bring it to life, which my cast has done, then the show connects. I’m glad the team worked hard on themselves to portray these characters so authentically."

Sharing further, whether it is the local Maharashtrian flavour that worked for the masses, he said, "I just wanted to tell a good story, which is a family entertainer. I didn’t want to show the usual love story formula of falling in love, separating, and reuniting. I wanted it to be about family; a story of three brothers and three women from different social stratas. In Udne Ki Aasha, the eldest brother is a businessman, the second is a taxi driver, and the third is a chef. It represents the income disparity within a single family, which is very common in Indian households. Not every son becomes successful, yet they live together happily. In the show, the wives have their own opinion, but they believe in the joint family system and no one wants to break away despite the challenges. That’s what’s really connects with the audience."

In the current track in Udne Ki Aasha, soon Sachin and Sailee will find out how Roshni has cheated Sachin's brother and she was already a widow when she married him. She also has a son and everyone in the family will get to know the truth.
